If your application is successful we will require

  • proof of health insurance for the duration of your exchange.

ERASMUS PROGRAM
If your university is within the European Union (and Turkey) it may be possible to
make a formal exchange agreement under the Socrates/Erasmus scheme.

The purpose of Erasmus is to improve the quality of higher education and strengthen its European dimension. It does this by encouraging transnational cooperation between universities, fostering the European mobility of students and teachers, and contributing to improved transparency and academic recognition of qualifications and studies throughout the European Union. Erasmus gives students (up to and including doctorate, except for students enrolled in their first year of Higher Education) the opportunity to study for a period of 3-12 months at a university or higher education establishment in another participating country in the framework of agreed arrangements between universities. The time spent in the other country is fully recognised in the originating university, thanks to European Credit Transfer Scheme. Students also receive an Erasmus Student Charter which outlines their rights as visiting students and the obligations which they must fulfil at their host institution.

If you are interested in study at the ICS and are eligible for the Erasmus programme, you should contact the international relations department of your institution.

Regarding costs etc. the terms and conditions of the agreement between partner institutions will apply.

If your college does not have an official exchange agreement than it is still possible to work at the International Ceramics Studio. Click here for information.

For young people who are not eligible for Erasmus but would like to study abroad other programmes are available. If you live outside the European Union there are scholarship schemes available to you. click here for information
