An opportunity to work with one of Hungary's leading porcelain artists. Sandor Dobany models his originals in plaster, designs and makes multi part molds and casts his unique works in high quality porcelain.

Participants will have the opportunity to work alongside this master, learning techniques and processes that make the European porcelain tradition the pinnacle of the porcelain arts.

Hungary has always been at the forefront of porcelain design, coming from the strong porcelain factories of Herend and Zsolnay (where Dobany has been a designer). Now an independent artist, Dobany creates his own unique works ranging frm tea and coffee sets, dinner services, individual decorative pieces and architectural details.Recently Dobany has been a visiting lecturer at the Glasgow School of Art in Britain.

 


Costs of participation
Self catering accommodation in single room is 189,000 Hungarian Forints for the three week program. Additional charges are made for the materials and firings that you use.
