This initiative is designed to nurture artists, expand our horizons, and shrink our world. Latvian artist, Peteris Martinsons, was the first LIAEP artist. He exhibited at the Kansas City Artists Coalition’s gallery in 2002 as a part of his three-week residency in Kansas City. His extended stay also allowed time for visits to area schools including Kansas State University and Central Missouri State University.
