Organised Programs and Events

Our organised programs include Mastercourses, Workshops, Symposia with Masters, Open days, Lectures and Demonstrations. For more details on each program please click on the program name below. Some details are still to be confirmed and will be available shortly. Places available are limited so it advisable to apply early.

This year we are organising international ceramic symposia with masters which are open for participation. On these symposia you will be creating your own work alongside acknowledged masters in their field. The invited guest artists will be working on their own projects or in collaboration with the other residents. The invited masters will present their working methods and discuss their ideas and philosophy during demonstrations, formal and informal seminars and public lectures.

Workshop
OLSEN WOODFIRE MARATHON
Over the years the studio has had 7 kilns designed and built by Fred Olsen. To celebrate this friendship between the studio and Olsen he will be leading a special mastercourse to make work and fire all three of the Olsen kilns we have here. This is a unique opportunity to experience firing the glaze kiln, the salt kiln and one of his latest kiln designs - the Super E.
