Organised Programs and Events

Our organised programs include Mastercourses, Workshops, Symposia with Masters, Open days, Lectures and Demonstrations. For more details on each program please click on the program name below. Some details are still to be confirmed and will be available shortly. Places available are limited so it advisable to apply early.

This year we are organising international ceramic symposia with masters which are open for participation. On these symposia you will be creating your own work alongside acknowledged masters in their field. The invited guest artists will be working on their own projects or in collaboration with the other residents. The invited masters will present their working methods and discuss their ideas and philosophy during demonstrations, formal and informal seminars and public lectures.

	8 - 14	Mastercourse SCULPTURAL THROWING with Shozo Michikawa (Japan)
	May 16 - June 14	Study Abroad KANSAS CITY ART INSTITUTE, USA Summer School Program with George Timock and Aaron Bloomenheim. With workshops by international artists including Gabriella Kuzsel (Mouldmaking and slip casting)
June	June 18 - July 4	Workshop GLAZES FOR WOOD FIRING a three week course with Masakazu Kusakabe (Japan)
June	21 - 27	Mastercourse FIGURATIVE MOULDMAKING with Ilona Romule (Latvia)
July	5 - 26	Symposium with Masters OBJECTS OF DESIRE with invited artists Paul Mathieu (Canada), Leopold Foulem (Canada),
August	1 - 28	Study Abroad OHIO UNIVERSITY, Athens, USA Summer School Program with workshops by international artists from the ICS.
August	August 29 - Sept. 5	Mastercourse PAPERCLAY TECHNIQUES for SCULPTURE with Rosette Gault (USA)
September	6 - 27	Symposium with Masters PAPERCLAY - FIRING FIBRES II with invited artists Rosette Gault (USA), Jerry Bennet (USA),
October	2 - 8	Mastercourse INLAID COLOURED PORCELAIN with Susan Nemeth (Great Britain)
	10 - 16	Mastercourse - Beginners ALCHEMY OF SPACE I - CONCRETE SCULPTURE with Csurgai Ferenc (HU)
	18 - 27	Mastercourse - Advanced ALCHEMY OF SPACE II - CONCRETE SCULPTURE with Csurgai Ferenc (HU)

It may be possible for you to apply to the relevant funding organisation in your home country for financial assistance to participate in these programs. There are also many private foundations that can assist with possible funding. If we can be of any help to assist you in your application please get in touch.
